I had quite some fun recently with drawing anime style, so today I wanted to practice more realistic skintone and rendering. I took a doodle "Thoughts" that I made the other day and started painted on it in photoshop. Quite like how it turned out especially the colour.

I want to maintain the feel of the original sketch and didn't want to over render the thing, so it's not as good as photorealistic. Still more realistic than my usual work and I am quite happy

Edit:
I added the link to the photo reference I use for the face. Didn't try to copy it though, and I made quite a few changes since many early comments pointed out that the ear or the nose was too large. So please do not expect or try to find likeness in them...

Something tells me the shadow under her nose should be the same color and value as the one under her chin, or the other way around, or even somewhere between the both shades... Got any ref?
Still very nice concept and great execution!

Wonderful work,

The sense of movement and flow is excellent.
I think the part of the neck to the shoulder needs a bit more
refinement. It looks a bit like one mass, but would like
to see some more muscle and bone structure.
That aside a piece not to be missed

I like the Idea of a "natural beeing" very well drawn although I think her Nose is a little bit to big for the "classic" Anime Style but this gives the Picture a personal Note, I like it just the way it is right now!
