Description

This is another collaboration with Aaron Sikstrom a.k.a. seeThrou, a colour version of one of his drawings, "Do you really have to have a title for everything?". If you are like me a fan of his drawing, you might be insterested in checking out his latest work "in a forest not so near" as well :)

I was going to paint one of his other previous drawings, but the moment I saw this newly updated piece at the time, I just had to give it try. I wanted to do more than I did for the Girl the and her Bunny Rabbit, using different palette and giving more texture etc, and I am quite happy with the result.

Painted in Photoshop based on Aaron's drawing.

Beautifully painted - love the colours! :)

Seems most of the problems are down to the drawing - I think you've done a good job with it though... (thumbup)

Thanks all for the comments. Glad you guys enjoy the piece.

I'll fix the mentioned few flaws when I have time. That said, if there's any thing that wouldn't work for the painting it's my job to figure out ways to work around it. If it still doesn't work, then that's also my mistake.

These collaboration work are inspired and based on the darwing, and I try to translate what I see in Aaron's drawing. All the good stuffs here is inherited from his work. If I were to do a piece entirely on my own, it would be something very different, and I probably would never achieve the same feel and style (which is quite evident in my other solo works in the gallery).

I agreed to do the collaboration because I thought I could learn something from Aaron' work, something that's lacking in my own pieces, and I can see I am improving and learning a lot from working with these 2 pieces already. Once again I thank him for this oppotunity :)
